Description
A blind aluminum rivet, also known as a pop rivet or blind rivet, is a type of fastener used for joining materials together where access to the rear side of the joint is limited or nonexistent. These rivets consist of a cylindrical body with a mandrel inserted into the hollow center. When installed using a rivet gun or similar tool, the mandrel is pulled into the body, causing the body to expand and form a bulge on the blind side of the joint, securely clamping the materials together. Blind aluminum rivets are commonly used in a wide range of applications, including automotive, aerospace, construction, and manufacturing, for fastening metal panels, attaching brackets or supports, and joining other components. They offer a quick, efficient, and reliable method of fastening without the need for access to both sides of the joint.
